The group is open, and follows a format which includes meditation, reading, and discussion. Books are suggested by the attendees and selections are chosen by the group. All are welcome!
Whether you need a time of solace during a busy weekend, want to deepen your personal practice, or uncluttered your mind, you are welcome.
Sessions will include about 25 minutes of meditation. No experience is necessary to join.

Bring your own project in progress or start something new! All crafts are welcome.
Is there something you’d like to create? Give yourself the gift of dedicated time to work on your project in the company of fellow creatives. Bring your novel-in-progress, your half-knitted sweater, your blank canvas, your barely-started dissertation, your architectural blueprint, your nascent symphony, your coding project, or your business plan. Or just bring a desire to explore the possibilities. We provide short nugget of creative inspiration, some rudimentary art supplies, and time-keeping so you can lose yourself in creative flow; you bring the mojo and a willingness to clean up after yourself at the end of the night.
Free Your Inner Artist Collab! If you don’t currently have a project in the works, no problem! Jen Rambridge will be on hand with materials and supplies that you can experiment with. (Additional $5 donation requested for materials)
This group is suitable for adults and mature teens.

Playing With Tarot (every other month, in-person)
Date and Time: Every other month on fourth Fridays* at 7 PM
*July’s meeting has moved to the fifth Friday
Facilitator: Cynthia Menard, SGCC Director
Cost: TBD -- July through September Free
Location: UUCAV Community Room
Attendance Limit: None
Registration: Requested
Our gatherings combine discussions on tarot topics, reading introspectively for ourselves and each other, playing with our decks in unconventional ways, and group readings (a favorite that produces some of our most interesting experiences).
Why are we playing instead of learning tarot? Because playing is fun! Our gatherings focus on intuitive reading, not learning each card in the tarot. And telling ourselves that we’re playing rather than learning puts us in a more relaxed mindset, which makes it easier to access our intuition. Bring your favorite tarot deck, and see how fun tarot can be without the rules! No tarot experience required - extra decks are available for those without.
Advance registration requested.

Attendance Limit: None; Drop-Ins Welcome
This is a drop-in event and no experience with shamanism, journeying, or drumming is required - just a curious and open heart! Shamanic journeying is a powerful practice that anyone can learn and use. Working in the spirit realm teaches us true freedom and self-empowerment. We connect with the energy that underlies the physical world and can receive guidance from our guides and ancestors. Moreover, we gain the ability to heal ourselves at the deepest level. Come by for an opportunity to connect deeply with spirit.

SoulCollage® is a deeply personal and intuitive form of art therapy developed by Seena B. Frost in the late 1980s, designed to facilitate self-discovery and emotional exploration through creative collage-making. Participants create 5×8 inch cards by intuitively selecting and arranging images from magazines, photographs, and personal artwork that resonate on a profound emotional level, representing different aspects of the self.
