Family Dance at FPC

First Parish Church of Stow & Acton (FPC) invites the community to our first annual Valentine's Family Dance, to take place on Saturday, January 20th, from 1–3 p.m. Children are invited to bring their favorite adult(s) for dancing, a Valentine's Day card craft, and a sweet treat. Tickets are $20 (for one child and their adult guest) and $5 per additional family member. Tickets will be available at the door (cash or check only).

In the Beginning: A Solstice Celebration

Sunday, December 17th, 2023 - 5:00PM

First Parish Church of Stow & Acton will present a solstice celebration on Sunday, December 17. FPC Music Director Chris Hossfeld will be joined by accompanist Trevor Berens, the FPC Choir, and a special guest, soprano Jessica Tunick Berens. All are welcome.

The event will be a multi-faith service with seasonal music, and will include a rarely-performed choral piece titled “In the Beginning” by Relly Raffman based on a poem by Dylan Thomas. Raffman had a background in jazz, and for many years taught, conducted and composed music at Clark University in Worcester.

2023 FPC Holiday Gift Drive

For more than 15 years, our FPC community has stepped up to buy gifts for children, women and men who are fleeing domestic violence. We started first assisting Renewal House, a shelter for women and children in Roxbury which is connected to the UU Urban Ministry, and on whose board our former minister Tom Rosiello served. When Diane Miller took over this project, we added a second shelter, Voices Against Violence, where Diane had volunteered for years. FPC Famous Apple Pie Sale

FPC's Famous Apple Pies are back! Pie sales will take place for four weekends (Saturdays and Sunday) this fall starting on Saturday, September 23. Pies are still $18 each. 

The FPC Pie Shed will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM - 1 PM or until the pies are sold. The FPC Pie Shed is located at 353 Great Road, Stow, at the intersection of routes 117 and 62. For more information, email applepies@fpc-stow-acton.org.

FPC Annual Plant Saale

Our Annual Plant Sale will take place in front of the carriage shed on May 20th. The sale takes place rain or shine.

DONATIONS: We ask FPC gardeners and lovers of the earth for plants—lots of plants! Please look around your property for plants to donate to the sale. Plants that are different or unusual are especially desirable, the kinds of plants that if they weren’t already in your yard or garden, you yourself would like to buy. FPC Auction 2023 – Monopoly!

Pass Go and come on down to the FPC Spring Auction!  This event will include an on-line silent auction (starting at midnight on March 26th and ending on April 5th), and a live event on April 1st with both silent auction and live auction opportunities.

440 Gypsy Jazz

440 Gypsy Jazz is a quartet that expands the gypsy jazz tradition of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.  They play danceable swing standards from the era of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Benny Goodman, as well as originals from the band.

SGM Registration for 2023

Time to sign up for Small Group Ministry for 2023!

We are forming new groups of 8-10 people who will meet monthly, starting in February, with a trained facilitator to discuss a session topic. The topics are chosen to provide an opportunity for Intimacy and Ultimacy - increasing awareness of yourself and connections to other group members. We encourage existing participants to join again, either in the same or in a new group, and particularly welcome those new to the program or new to the church.
