FPC Guest Table serves a community dinner on the first Friday of each month at First Parish Church of Stow & Acton. We welcome everyone from Stow, and surrounding towns, who are looking for a sense of community, or just want a change of atmosphere.
The next meal will be offered on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 5:30-6:30 PM. There is no charge for dinner, but donations are gratefully accepted. Have you ever wondered how children's picture books are created? At the next virtual Saturday Morning Breakfast, hosted by First Parish Church of Stow & Acton (FPC), local children's author Casey W. Robinson will share a behind-the-scenes look at the creative and publishing process behind her picture book “Iver and Ellsworth,” including the local landmark that inspired the story. Join the FPC Choir on YouTube at 5:00p on Sunday, December 5th for a very fun and informal sing of carols, holiday tunes, and other favorite anthems of the choir. Every year, FPC collects holiday gifts for the guests of two domestic violence shelters. Santa’s elves will continue on with this tradition this year, although with a few changes due to COVID-19.
For more than 15 years, our FPC community has stepped up to buy gifts for children, women and men who are fleeing domestic violence. We started first assisting Renewal House, a shelter for women and children in Roxbury which is connected to the UU Urban Ministry, and on whose board our former minister Tom Rosiello served.
