Dave Sansone - Throughout history there have been guides who have laid down a path that connects life and death. Accompanied by several music videos, this service will review ideas of the afterlife, how remembering death can help us to remember to live our best life and finally, a look at the hospice movement through the eyes of a hospice volunteer. Following the service, there will be a listening service offered in the community room led by two UUCAV lay ministers for those who would like to share their personal stories surrounding death and dying.

It is no wonder so many of us are asking, “What - if anything - can I do?” The pace can feel relentless—overwhelming, even. Yet our faith tradition offers guidance for moments like this. Rev. Rosiello will share his reflections on how we can respond to real-world challenges while also caring for ourselves and our neighbors.

Shana Dumont Garr - We welcome neighbors and friends to bring their animal companions, in body or in spirit, for a collective blessing. We will assemble in a shady spot to celebrate and honor the dignity of every being with whom we live, complemented by spiritual and philosophical readings by St. Francis, David Abram, and Donna Haraway. There will be no online service this week.
